Legacy Golf Club

Located in Phoenix, Legacy Golf Club is one of the few courses to visit for a night ride. This location has easy access for parking, fairly clean paths. With roughly 8mi worth of pavement this is a great contender if you are looking for something with complexity.
*Note: Since this is a private club, it is suggested to only ride after hours and stay on all paths. Last game is run at 6:30pm with usually everyone off the course by 7:30pm-8pm. Sprinklers start after 10pm.
Please respect the courses and be courteous to not interrupt anyone’s game.

Tempe Riverview> Tempe Town Lake> McKellips Park & Back

This is one of the staple paths for the Valley. Spanning 14.5mi, This is one of the few paths you can hop on and see others around. Because you are going through Tempe Town Lake, be aware of Bird Scooter riders, some water on the paths and a mixture of flat and hill paths.

Exway Atlas Pro 2wd

Exway Atlas Pro

I recently purchased the Exway Atlas Pro and took delivery of it in June of 23′. At a whopping $1600 for their two wheel-drive model, lets break down the good and the bad about this board.

Coming from the factory this board will take its time coming into the states unless they have stock in their US warehouse. If you are expecting to see this before a specific deadline, be prepared to wait. I purchased mine March 26, 2023 and it arrived June 2nd.

Direct from factory this board comes with Exway’s 160mm Pneumatics, R3 remote and Exway handle out of the box.

As of July 7th currently I have just shy of 300mi on the board. Overall this board has been great with some minor issues which we will go over here.

Let’s start with the build quality and design. The Atlas Pro boasts a sleek and sturdy construction, with a deck that provides ample foot space for a comfortable ride. The overall design is minimalistic. With DKP’s, this board can turn on a dime.

With the low of 15mi (during flat out Turbo runs) up to 23mi (4th gear) on a single charge, this may be the right choice for some users but this is something to keep in mind when purchasing the Pro.

Top speeds on this board I have personally hit is 36mph out of the advertised 38mph.

There are a couple of things that I do dislike about this board. One being that the Pneumatic tires that come stock with the board ended up being out of balance which caused a wheel hop and made the board very unstable at high speeds. After the addition to stick on wheel weights, the board feels comfortable enough. Second major issue is how it handles top speed. While the board is able to get to that top 38mph with the right rider on it, If the board gets any hint of hitting that top speed the board throttles you which can cause you to become unstable during your top speed runs.

Overall, the Exway Atlas Pro offers a powerful and comfortable riding experience with its dual-motor system and pneumatic wheels. While the imbalanced wheels and potential need for wheel weights are minor drawbacks, the board’s impressive performance and quick throttle response make it one of the top choices for commercial electric skateboards.
